LONG DISTANT (MARATHON SWIMMING) CHAMPIONSHIP Tagged LAGOS OPEN WATER SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP
Back to memory lane, the 1st edition was launched at The Lagos Oriental Hotel V/l in Nov. 2016 and the Event about 1km swim race took place at The Water Regata Arena, Queens Drive behind The French Embassy 2016, with about 59 participants (male 38, female 21 )
We have done 2 more editions covering 2km and 4 km before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lagos Open Water Swimming Marathon held on 2nd December 2023. The event was a huge success, with more than 100 participants taking part in the marathon.
The marathon took place in the beautiful open waters of Lagos and was a true test of endurance, strength, and skill. The swimmers had to navigate through the challenging conditions of open water, including strong currents and waves, making it an exhilarating experience for both the participants and spectators alike.
